Examination Under Anaesthetic

The throat is a very sensitive and tricky area to examine. It is often necessary to examine patient when under a full general anaesthetic in order to see areas that are difficult to see when awake and also to be able to biopsy specific areas when needed. These are very safe, short procedures usually less than 30 minutes, and mostly performed as a day case procedure.
